So around a week ago I recieved my new 6700xt, I went by a lot of recommendations and the 6700xt seemed like an optimal choice, except when I started seeing how much the 6800xt outperformed the 6700xt, still, it seemed as if it wasnt worth the price, except for the fact that I recently found a 6800xt for 549$ which makes it a 160 difference from my 389$ 6700xt, I was wondering if it would be better to refund my current GPU to get the 6800xt

Seems that you should, according to GPU USERBENCHMARK, the two are 18 ranks apart in performance, for a 160 difference the return for the 6800-XT is definitely worth it if you are looking for some more demanding games.

beware though, if you're planning on raytracing i recommend a NVIDIA GPU for their far better Raytracing performance.

Thanks for your answer, but I think ill keep my 6700xt for a few years since it should run future games fine on medium/high graphics for my 1080p screen I realized I was looking at 4k benchmarks and thats why the difference was so big, thanks anyways!

Well, from the numbers you've given, the RX 6800 XT is 41% more expensive than the RX 6700 XT. (549/389=1.41)

According to the TechPowerUp GPU Database, the RX 6800 XT is 44% faster on average than the RX 6700 XT.

So, the RX 6800 XT is a slightly better value than the RX 6700 XT which is very unusual because higher-tier cards are normally worse values than the lower-tier cards because you're paying extra for things like more VRAM and more gaming versatility.

If you have the money, I would definitely recommend getting the RX 6800 XT for the much faster speed while paying slightly less per unit of performance. That 4GB of extra VRAM is a huge bonus that's essentially free and extends the card's life dramatically. I have an RX 6800 XT myself and it's a fantastic little beast.

Hope this helps! ;)
