Hello i have a question about cleaning pc yesterday i have cleaned my pc from every thing dust and hair and everyrhing but i have a very little question and i need your help while cleaning i have removed my gtx 970 and removed the ram and removed the cpu cooler to clean everythibg very well and clean the socket of them but my main question is should i remove the cpu from its socket or shoul i leave it there i mean will something get into the socket if my cpu it is very well closed and locked in place and after cleaning i have reapplied thermal paste and put the heatsink on and tighten it very well and put everything in place and the pc staryed normaly with no issue so if you please i need an answer about the cpu if should i remove it from its socket or no and thank you very much.
And one more thing could the thermal paste get under the cpu into the socket or no i mean when i have removed the heatsink the thermal paste was on the edge of the cpu on the limit with no more than the edge only from one side a small amount was more than the edge about 1 mm or 2 mm max more than the cpu surface so i cleaned it and i have applied the new thermal paste on the center with pea size method so should i be good and not remove the cpu from socket?
P.S. i have changed my cpu from an i5 750 to an i7 880 from about 1 month and checked that the socket is clean and well and the new cpu checked too if this help. But i wanted to clean my whole pc so should i remove the cpu from its place and i have used compressed air can.
I have intel dp55wb mobo
16 gb ram
Gtx 970
Silverstone 600w strider
I7 880 cpu and everything is fine.

Nope, there's no need to remove it.

You may, if you're really addicted to cleaning, but little to no benefit will come from it. Since there'll be minimal amount of dust beneath it(if at all).

Just cleaning it's surroundings and reaplying the thermal paste is more than enough. 🙂

Thank you so much for your answer and i have a very small question too i need to know could thermal paste get into the socket of cpu or no the cpu is very clean and the old thermal paste are just on the surface of thr cpu on the limit so i want a simple answer please could my thermal paste get under the cpu in socket. And i apply thermal past the pea size method so on the center and the heatsink will distribute evenly the thermal paste.

It won't.

It will not spread itself enough to get into the socket unless you put the whole tube of tp on it, which, by your statement, you didn't. So no worries there as well!
