I have a Lenovo ideapad 500-15acz. The computer doesn't boot, a blue screen appears saying the PC needs repair with error code 0xc000000f. Before it didn't boot, the computer was slow and lagging and sometimes it needed to restart to repair disk. I don't know if I should copy from the old drive to the new one and just replace it. Is there another solution?

error code 0xc000000f
Maybe the HDD has problem, maybe the BCD is corrupted or missing.

You may try this: download win10, and make a bootable USB. Then try to fix 0xc000000f error, or buy the new HDD to do the installation. But either way you need to make the bootable USB with win10.

How to make the bootable USB.

After you have the bootable USB, try this to fix the error.

If the HDD has problem, you need to replace it, and here is how to reinstall the win10.

if the old drive might be failing and might now be corrupted, it might be too late for copying /transferring or clean cloning, or, lead to any such corruption/faulty files unfortunately perfectly replicated to another drive, leading to confusion over where the problem might be (corrupt files copied to a new drive obviously will still have stability/freezing/lockup issues)
