Should I replace my PSU?

Currently, I have a Coolmax zx-700 80 PLUS and it's been running fine for about 7 months now. *Knock on wood*
But I keep reading negative reviews toward it and comments such as "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD GET RID OF THAT PSU!" and so on. -_- I really don't want to change it because I have 0 experience with installing PSU's and I had Fry's Electronics assemble my PC. They also chose the parts for me accordingly to my budget. At the time I had no knowledge of power supplies. So what should I do?

This is my current set up:

Motherboard: MSI 970A-G46

CPU: AMD FX-6300 (No overclock)

GPU: ASUS AMD R9 280x

RAM: 8GB

Case: Enermax Ostrog

Hyper 212 EVO CPU cooler

2 blue LED Antec 120mm fans (as top exhaust fans, plugged directly into the PSU)

1 120mm Cooler Master intake fan (Plugged into the mobo)

(Not sure if the last 4 were important to mention but I thought I would anyway)

I was thinking about getting this one because of it's reviews - http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Modular-Bronze-ATX12V-EPS12V/dp/B00ALK3KEM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1428435763&sr=8-2&keywords=psu

But I don't know if that's too much power. Can anyone help me out? Or do I even need to change my PSU at all? Someone from another forum told me that if it's been running with no problems for 7 months then it should be fine and that the reason it got bad reviews is probably because it doesn't give off as much power as it claims to. But i dunno man...this crap's giving me anxiety! D:

If your PSU is bad it WILL causes damage to your hardware, I'd say you get some better brand like Corsair, EVGA, Fractal, plus Coolmax sounds ghetto. Yeah get that Corsair, it will even help you OC cuz it more efficient than that Coolmax.

That's the thing though, I don't want to overclock. I just want something for piece of mind, you know? Like I said, my current set up has been working fine so far. But I worry for the future.

With all due respect sir; if that CX750M is so cheap, then why does it have hundreds of great reviews? The one you suggested only has 3 1/2 stars with 2 reviews. Makes me a bit skeptical. Plus it's not modular. I really don't want to be screwing with wires all day.

Okay but I barely know wtf I'm doing. Therefore, I'm not gonna go screwing around with that kind of stuff.

Thats up to you, look up real reviews or ask any moderator on this site which is better the xfx ts 650 or the corsair cx750m. The cx750m is decent but it is severly lacking in quality when compared to the xfx ts 650.

Here is another good choice (its what i have) look up professional reviews jhonny guru is a good one, not what all the faceless people on the internet say.

The CX series are not very good. The great reviews are from people who review soon after they install it(they are good out of the box). The CX problems start later, usually after a couple months. I have used 5, 4 didn't make it past the first year, the 5th did because it lived in a closet after the first 4 failures, it died being used as a temp solution. Also when it comes to reviews you can find good user reviews on Raidmax PSUs(one of the worst brands available right next to coolmax).

So what do you recommend? I really like the one Ko888 suggested. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00KFAFRW6/?tag=pcpapi-20

But once again, I'm unsure...

The EVGA b2s are excellent units, made by Superflower. The XFX units are also good as they are made by Seasonic. Its hard to go wrong when it made by either of those 2. 750w is kinda overkill for what you have. You could use the 550w XFX and be just fine.

Cool! So which would you suggest. The EVGA or the XFX?

Okay, thanks. One more question, could too much power damage your components?

No, it only delivers what the system needs.

Thanks. :)

Now I just hope it fits inside my case.

Okay, now I'm having second thoughts...

I just read some 1 star reviews on Amazon and a lot of people are saying the EVGA was either DOA, died on them a few months later and some even had their other components taken out. Seriously? Wtf man! >.<

Like I said in my initial post; I didn't choose this PSU. The sales rep at Fry's Electronics selected it accordingly to my budget. If I had read it's reviews beforehand I would have asked him to select something else.

Make sure when you're reading the Amazon customer reviews specifically for the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B2 (110-B2-0750-VR). There are 356 reviews on other EVGA PSU models mixed in there that don't have anything to do with the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B2 (110-B2-0750-VR).

There are 32 Amazon customer reviews specifically for the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 80PLUS B2 Bronze Certified 750W.

I certainly don't see any 1 star reviews for the EVGA SuperNOVA 750 B2 (110-B2-0750-VR).
