[SOLVED] Should I replace the Corsair CV 650

hello. I'm building a PC with a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RX 5700 and I chose the CV650 as a PSU (having only looked at the wattage initially) and I have already bought it, however I've researched some more and found some places saying it's good enough, others saying it's only for home/office PCs and it shouldn't be used for gaming.

I wouldn't want to return it so I'm asking if it's good enough so it at least won't damage my components if anything happens. If not, please give me some suggestions. Thanks.

If you can return it, that would be most wise.

It's not a bad PSU for an entry level system, but I wouldn't consider it a good choice with an rx5700. It's a budget unit and is built like one.

On the flip side: 650w is plenty, it has a pretty strong 12v rail, and it is a better PSU than it's lower wattage CV siblings. It has a decent amount of protections aswell, so if you cannot return it, you should be able to get by with it. Should something go wrong the PSU SHOULD trip a protection instead of damaging your system.

I am currently running an rx5700 on a CX550M which is not an amazing PSU either but it works ok.
If you can return it, that would definitely be a good idea. It's not a bomb-level PSU and i wouldn't say it's for office PCs either but it's not RX5700 level good either, smth like Corsair CX would be way more appropriate, better if TX-m, RM or RMx if we're talking about Corsair, but maybe you have smth else.
