My main 4k is one connected to 4090
I don't play games on second one, its mostly for YouTube, I use extend option in windows so i can have an extra window there like files and web.

Should I connect the second one to motherboard instead? will it cause any issues?

what would happen if i drag a demanding game window into second monitor?!
while one runs off 4090 and the other intel integrated graphics.

I want to do it mainly to reduce 4090 idle power consumption, is it reasonable to do so?

4 - Multi Monitor:

  • 4 independent displays at 4K 120Hz using DP or HDMI
  • 2 independent displays at 4K 240Hz or 8K 60Hz with DSC using DP or HDMI
  • Other display configurations may be possible based on available bandwidth
Can you please state the frequency at that resolution?

This is where you also mention the make and model of your motherboard and processor. A Ryzen 5000 series processor from AMD or a F suffix/SKU processor from Intel won't have an iGPU so hooking it up to your motherboard would be moot.
