Should i save and wait for a gtx 970 or get the new gtx 960 which has just come out?

My monitor is 1920x1080p native and ideally i want to run most if not all games at 1080p and a minimum 60fps. If you have another graphics card recommendation please let me know!

the 960 is designed for 1080p the 970 is for higher resolutions

Future proof your system. Save a little for the GTX 970. It is currently the most economical (fps for $) card in the world. The early benchmarks for the GTX 960 don't look too promising, even at 1080p resolutions. Ref: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/nvidia-geforce-gtx-960,4038-4.html

The GTX 960 is in a totally different league (lower) than the GTX 970.

The difference between a gtx 960 & 970 is worth 130 Dollars. So i would say go whichever fits in your budget. If you can even get the gtx 970, but will effect when buying other components than go with a 960. It was made for 1080p. But if you can get the 970, then why not? Go ahead and grab one of those beast. Good luck!
