hey so i was thinking to sell my gtx 1070 for a rtx 2060 will that be an upgrade??? i also worried that will rtx support my motherboard (intel db75en) soo yea.... will the rtx 2060 be better than gtx 1070 ? in terms of fps tbh i dont think rtx will give good fps on 2060 ... so i wont be gaming on rtx anyway ... but is the rtx 2060 better than gtx 1070 and by how much if its like 5 -10 fps then i dont care ...

i game at 1080p 60fps .....

Solution
The RTX 2060 is close to 1070Ti. It's not worth it to sell the 1070. The equivalent of 1080/2070 or the 1080Ti/2080 will be a decent upgrade. Everything else is just sidegrade.
RTX is a GPU feature so what motherboard you have is irrelevant.

There wont be much of a performance difference between the 2060 and the 1070 (From what ive seen so far on average about 10fps)

So the question is do you want RTX? if so then sell the 1070.

If it was me i wouldnt bother, stick with what you have for a year then see how RTX2080 prices are.

For an in depth review of the RTX2060 check out steve's review here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4Kfrc3kk_c&t=1513s

As always please check some benchmarks .. I think Linus has some .. Jay , Paul .. There you will see the games ..
I like hardware unboxed complete game benchmarks ... but he doesn;t have a 2060 yet. next monday. In my opinion ... Don;t sell the 1070 not worth

I'm sorry but I disagree. Firstly, if you don't mind waiting a week, you should put it up for sale NOW since it will most likely (depending on where you from) go for more than the 2060. They you can either get the rtx for cheaper and pick up 10fps, or rumours has it that there will be a gtx1160. In this case you would probably save 100 bucks and still get +10fps.

So if you can, I'd sell it right now.

i really like the idea of yours but here in my country gpu price or actually all pc parts are price inflated af soo a rtx 2060 which is similarly priced as gtx 1070 will go above the actual gtx 1070 in my country by almost 200$ ... here gtx 1070 asus dual goes for 568$..... thats why i cant expect to sell it for more of a price of rtx 2060
