Should i stay with 900p (16:10) or 1080p?

I am thinking about upgrading my monitor, but not sure I should. My current monitor is a 1440x900 resolution (16:10) and i am considering upgrading to a 1920x1080 (16:9). Thanks.

GTX650 (1gbs vram), 8gbs of ram and a Intel i5 4440 (3.1 ghz).

To OP - If you are going to watch movies on the 1080p monitor it will be an excellent upgrade, but if you are planning to play modern games on it, consider that your GTX 650 will struggle on that resolution.
