[SOLVED] Should I stick with GTX or get a RTX?

Guys, I am in a big dilemma! I'm now having a GTX 1060 6gb and I am looking forward to upgrade it soon. What would be my best bet? Sticking with the GTX and get a 1070 Ti or 1080 or going to the RTX zone where I can get a 2060 or maybe, hardly, a 2070 form the SH market?

Mainly gaming, a 144hz upgrade is also planned (but only after my PC looks great spec wise). Futureproofing is going to be the decider.

EDIT: Also a 1070 (not the Ti) could be a decent one? I can get it for a good price by trading-in my 1060.

The 1070 trade in looks promising but if not the RTX series would be my choice.

I'd say just wait for a sale and then go with whatever is cheaper and faster

If you dont feel a need to upgrade, hold onto the 1060 and see what comes out soon. If you are pressed for an upgrade, the RTX 2070 is a beast of a card, but I have seen 1080s for $300-400.
