Should I still disable System Restore with an SSD (Win7)?

I know that this was always recommended in the past, but I can't find any recent information as to whether this still holds true. Five years ago, I believe the big concern was the space restore points would take up on an SSD (especially for those without data drives). I just installed a 512 GB Samsung 850 Pro in my wife's Dell Studio XPS 7100 desktop. She keeps no data on the SSD; it's just the OS and programs. She's got over 330 GB free.

Does system restore actually hurt the SSD? I run Acronis daily, so I don't actually need it. But sometimes in the past fixing some annoying problem with SR was faster than re-imaging.

Wondering what the best practice is circa 2015.
