hey guys
so a little while back i was in a jam and had to buy a psu fast, after seeing it at the end of a LTT video and doing a little bit of research to make sure it wasnt as bad as a corsair vs, i purchased a Cooler Master b600 V2, this psu has been running my pc for atleast 4 months now.
my pc: i5 2400, gtx 780, 8gb ddr3
I have had absolutely no problems with it at all, however i'm thinking maybe i should buy another psu and i can chuck this still perfectly working b600 v2 into my lan party pc which needs a psu, now i have a very small selection because of budget and because of stores i can buy from so would any of these be a good replacement or should i stick with the b600 v2:
Silver stone SST-ST60F-ESB
Corsair cx 600 (doubtful)
Antec vp 600p
SilverStone Strider Essential 700W
Be Quiet! System Power 8 600W
thoughts?

What's the wattage on the LAN Party PC? Any of the PSUs would work for either.
Personally I'd keep the one you have, and buy a new one for the LAN PC only if necessary.

well thats what i was originally going to do its just i love my 780 and i really dont want it to get grenaded by my psu. (not saying that it will but you know what its like with power supplies haha)
the lan party pc is only a 755 optiplex board in a dell 3100 case with a q6600, 8gb ddr2 and a little 550ti. its just a pc i built from spare parts but i dont have any decent psu's right now.

Well Shit xD
out of the ones i listed which do you think is the best quality?

Jeez haha, that's an old one. You might be able to knock it down to a 500W PSU.

This is the cheapest I could find, anything less seems to be made from cheap Chinese crap.

eh im not a fan of the corsair vs series because their all Chinese parts. i might just go for the vp 500p or buy the silverstone strider 600w and put that in my main pc and put the b600 v2 in the lan pc

Unless you plan on upgrading your main PC, I suggest getting the VP 500p for the main PC.

Sadly enough the best out of that list is honestly probably the cx600 or the bequiet

They're middling quality , the CX is cwt , the bequiet is Hec.
They're both choc full of capxom & teapo caps (your coolermaster has jun fu caps inside which are arguably worse)

The bequiet would probably be first choice simply because it has a 40c rating & 3 year warranty.

If you could find the antec vp650 though which is a good quality delta unit ??

no can do, the 780 needs atleast a 600w psu

Question from HexGaming5 : "would a 780 run on a 550w psu?"

its paired with:
i5 2400
8gb ddr3
acer X3990 mobo
1x WD Green 1tb
1x WD Black 750gb

These are the places where i can get psu's from:
http://www.msy.com.au/vic/northmelbourne/24-power-supply
http://cplonline.com.au/power-supply.html
and my budget is $100 (AUD) i can not spend anymore than that as im already taking money out of my account to pay for the other $50.

http://www.msy.com.au/vic/northmelbourne/24-power-supply#/page-3

Question from HexGaming5 : "is the vp 600p as good as the vp 650p"

so your certain that this pc under load will be alright with the cx550m? just i don't wont to waist my money that's all.
it trust that you know what your talking about since your name has power supply expert next to it so ill pick up the cx550m tomorrow.

EDIT:

nevermind i might as well just get the cx650 since its like $10 more expensive and id rather have more than required than less for that price.

Cheers mate :)

It's ugly but it's what we have to do when there are multiple threads. It's really ugly when you get an OP like this that makes 6 or 8 threads on the same topic.
