Assuming it is 1) free, and 2) you are also getting the motherboard....sure.
It is faster.
 


It's true. The FX 6300 has 6 cores packed into 3 modules, but each core is relatively weak on its own. It excels in things like file compression, but suffers greatly in tasks that require fast cores (like gaming).

The i5 3570K is a great CPU, and it looks like some motherboards for it are still reasonably priced. With a reasonable cooler, this will kick the crap out of that FX 6300 in gaming.
