Question Should I try to salvage the mobo

So I bottled up my PC for the first time in awhile and got a no signal. Figured out the gfx card had an issue then I find out that the LAN port is also damaged. Take things apart and find this.

No, I'm thinking water dropped onto it from my A/C duct

OK. It did look like water damage. You can try to clean the GPU contacts and make sure there is no other visible damage to the card.

Alcohol may help to fix the motherboard, but i think it may be toast

You aren't concerned with the burn mark? On the GPU? The GPU does still light up and fan does spin

But I was thinking the mobo was toast also, just didn't know if there was saving because computer is functional besides the LAN port while using on board

That's why I said to clean the contacts to remove the corrosion. Isopropyl alcohol or contact cleaner can help with this. Then if there is a completely destroyed contact you can replace it through a few ways.

Gotcha okay thanks, I'll clean it up and try the last pci e slot as that's the only one that seemed to completely dodge the splash from the damage

Okay! DId what you said it worked gfx card works and still works in said slot. Booted a few times now I get he blue screen for critical failure and I can't system restore or start in safe mode. Also tried to reset and refresh system both can't be done

Can you use a multimeter to ensure the contacts on the GPU are not shorted?

If the motherboard is not working and you tried cleaning i would consider replacement.
