Should I update my BIOS?

I have the MSI H81M-E34, and I plan on upgrading the CPU to an Intel Core i5-4460. Anyways, since I already have Windows installed and such, and I heard that you're not supposed to update your BIOS after Windows is installed. Should the i5-4460 work without a BIOS update?

It will depend what bios version you currently have. It is not recommended to update the BIOS within Windows as you should do so within the BIOS itself. Whether you have window installed or not should not make a difference.
