Should I update my motherboard bios to use 7 th gen Intel CPU's

I use Asus H110M-A/ M.2 motherboard with Intel core i3 6100 ..my question is should I update its bios and use i5 7400 or I should stick with the bios and upgrade to i5 6500..and if I update my bios and use i5 7400 can it give me any better performence

A bad flash can brick your board.
I would buy what cost less and update the BIOS if needed.
