Should I update to windows 10?

So recently I got a new sound card, the sound blaster x-fi 5.1 pro. everythings working pretty well but I sorta wanna upgrade to windows 10. There are no drivers that support windows 10 for my card at the moment. Should I install windows 8.1 driver and put it in compatibility mode? Im hesitant because I hear creatives drivers are poor so I really dont want to mess things up.

I prefer to wait until the bleeding edge becomes leading edge.

unless you know for sure the 8.1 driver will work. i have the same problem with an old HT omega sound card i'm using. i tried installing the 8.1 drivers for it but i couldn't control the volume most of the time so i ended up enabling my integrated sound until they are able to come out with an official driver. other than that i had no other hardware or software issues when i upgraded.

so should I just wait till an official driver comes out? because my integrated card is dead and this is my only choice.

that would be the best bet sense it sounds like your sound card won't work after the upgrade
