[SOLVED] Should i upgrade 6GB RAM to 8GB?

Hello there.

I have very old PC. It has 6GB of DDR2 800MHz memory. 2x 1GB and 2x 2GB Kingston sticks. I have found exact same 2GB sticks for good price.

The problem i'm having is sometimes the memory size max out while playing some video games (Rise Of The Tomb Raider) causing drops and stuttering.

Would it fix stuttering issue?

When a computer runs out of memory it goes to page file which is located on storage. This stuttering you are experiencing can be a result of too little RAM, using HDD, and also just the age/performance of the equipment.

You won't get massive boost with going from 6gb to 8gb. I'd rather spend these money for a SSD.
