I am wondering if its worth it to get: Please note I am slightly going for an overkill build, but don't wanna throw money away if that makes sense. I do eventually wanna go to 4k once they start making ultrawide 4k monitors. Also wanna eventually move to 120+ hz monitors at the 1440p or 4k resolution (ultrawide only). I will upload pictures later today or this weekend once i've perfected everything.

1) a 2nd GTX 980 TI (preferably another hybrid)
2) Upgrade to a 5930k or 5960x CPU and go to the x99 platform
3) Sell 980 TI for a Titan X and eventually maybe SLI them
4) Anything else you would suggest or add, opinions? SLI worth it?

I use this computer for everything when I am home. This includes Video Editing, Programming (visual studio)/web design, Gaming, Web browsing, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and lots more. When I am not at home I use my 15 inch macbook pro mid 2015 retina model with dedicated GPU and 512GB SSD.

Solution
if I was you I would wait for the next line of gpu's coming out this year.

If you were to "upgrade" anything on that rig it would just be throwing money out the window for minimal performance gains.
Maybe make a costum water loop? Really cool to do and great performance!

A second 980ti would rock in a tripple 4k monitor but 1 is fine for most games and stuff, also you cpuld buy a 1440p ultrawide monitor and add 2 normal 1440p monotors of the same hight.
In this case a second 980ti would be pretty good but not nessesary

I already have the LG34um95 which is a ultraiwde 1440p monitor. I thought about a custom waterloop, but i dont wanna hve to perform maintenance on it and, refill it as needed, clean out the tubes and all that jazz. Seems like a lot of work to me and from what i've heard you have to clean and fill/change out things every 6 months.
