I have a gigabyte a320m-s2h-cf mobo and a ryzen 3 1200.. With that mobo i cant overclock the cpu so its better to buy a new mobo and overclock the cpu or buy a new cpu for better perfomance?
I have updated bios at the latest version but that cpu can handle a r5? i was looking at 3400g or 2600xI would say it is better to update your bios, and upgrade to an R5 3600. Even an R3 3100 would be a significant upgrade, from a 1200. Less hassle, as you won't have to reinstall windows.
3300x its too expensive at my country.. so u mean i cant upgrade to r5 2nd or 3nd gen with this mobo? Then definitely an R3 3100, vs a new board. If you can get lucky, and find a 3300x, at retail, even better.
I just wanna upgrade to a good cpu that can keep for 3-4years and no need to upgrade again.. I have a gt 1030zotacThe R3 3100 and 3300x are 3rd gen. R5 3400g is technically a 2nd gen chip, just like the 2600x, just with fewer cores/threads. If you need the cores/threads, the R5 2600x is a good choice. The R3 3100 is faster, for most gaming scenarios, than the 2600x, and there is no situation where the 3400g is faster, in anything. Since you apparently already have a dedicated graphics card, a 3400g is kinda pointless.
