Question Should I upgrade-downgrade?

Hi guys,

I built a system for my brother a few months back with a ryzen 5 2400g without a gpu as a budget solution but now that the prices are down he got a rx 570 8gb. My question is if it is worth swapping it out with a ryzen 7 1700 as now he has a gpu. It would cost me about the same after I sell the 2400g but will it help his performance?
