[SOLVED] Should I upgrade from GTX 1050 to GtX 1060

I have a friend who doesnt game much and wants to trade me his 1060 3gb for my 1050 2gb + 75$. My concern is his card is an older model where the inputs are DVI, VGA and HDMI where on my card the inputs are Dvi, HDMI and display port. I don't have a 4k monitor so I don't need the display port but I was wondering if there is any difference between his older model and the newer 1060's that ship with display port and if its still worth it.

They aren't older, that was just a design choice when the card was made. Any GTX1060 3GB will perform just like any other (as long as it is the same chip, there are two versions of the GTX1060 3GB, but they are very close). 4K is supported through the HDMI port as well.

It is certainly an improvement, not quite twice as fast.

If you have the need for the extra graphics horsepower, $75 is pretty reasonable
