Hello guys, im having a bad time last couple of days thinking should i upgrade my cpu. I need someone to help me here.
I have:
I7 3770
16gb ram 1600mhz
GTX 1070 Asus Dual

Would i gain performance boost if i buy:
i5 8600K
Z370P D3 Motherboard
16gb ram kit 2666MHz
GTX 1070 Asus Dual( I would keep it)

I dont know if i should buy these parts because i dont want to spend the money and then get the same fps and performance with this new build....
Please help. Thanks alot.

3770 is running 3.7-3.9GHz when under full load.
a decent 8600K or their Ryzen counter parts, however , can reach ~4.5GHz stock.
Take a look at this video
In this experiment, literally everything that has a significant impact is controlled, except the CPU itself.
We can see that between 4GHz and 4.5GHz, there is a rough 10fps difference.
And, I expect you will overclock when getting a K series Intel chip or any Ryzen chip, so that means even higher clock speed.
Anything above 5GHz does very little impact on gaming

To sum up, the RAM kit won't boost you a lot in fps, probably 1fps
and the CPU upgrade should bring you 10-25fps gain depending on the title.

I remember the time everyone was saying i7 3770 bottlenecks gtx 1070, and now when i want to spend 500e+, i only would gain 5% fps. So it seems those hardware experts dont know anything. Just acting like they know something.... So should i buy, or shouldnt... I dont know lol...

Are you patient enough? Ryzen 3rd gen seems to be promising , if the leaks are somehow accurate.
If you want to buy it rn, yes it is a decent upgrade, u can feel the difference, not only in gaming but in order tasks as well

Not that im not patient, im always sticking with intel i guess.... I have a good gpu and if i buy newer cpu and ram i will be fine for years and maybe later upgrade to 2080ti....
