Should I upgrade from my FX-8350?

I'm hoping to get 60fps on most games on high-maxed settings. The biggest thing I'm hoping for is to be able to run GTA V on max settings, 1080p, at 60FPS. Should I upgrade to a better CPU, or will not be worth it. Will I be able to run GTA5 60fps with my setup?

CPU: FX 8350 @4.7
GPU: MSI Gaming 4G GTX 970 4GB
MOBO: ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

Thanks in advance.

It sounds like you haven't even used "your set up"? I mean why don't you just play the game and see for yourself? An 8350 at 4.7 GHz is a potent cpu.

Well, I'm talking about games coming out in the future like GTA V. Should I upgrade my CPU in order to play those games in 1080p, 60fps, is the question.

How can anybody tell you the answer to that question without a crystal ball?

Yup! There are so many people on this forum who just want to be told what to do. If I need to upgrade I am going to figure it out on my own. I don't need anybody to tell me when my rig can't cut it anymore.

I was asking if it was worth the price to upgrade to something like an i7 or something. I was asking if there was a noticeable difference to upgrade. Sorry, if it was unclear.

When your rig doesn't do what you need it to do then its time to upgrade. Only you can decide that.

Yes I am the one to decide that, but I'm asking if there is a noticeable difference between the two to help me make my decision.

To give an answer, no currently you wont get a huge boost by upgrading your system, it will cost you too much money to get a worthy i7 that beats in everything that fx and it wont even matter for gaming. better save your money for now and when your rig is not up to the task then you can upgrade.
