Should I upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10? (Got 12 hours to decide)

On my current old PC I am on Windows 7, being offered a free upgrade to Windows 10 as many others have. The problem is, I won't have this PC (I'll be building a new one) when Windows 7 extended support ends (2020), so I don't really see the point in upgrading.

Apparently Windows 10 features some performance upgrades but I really doubt I can squeeze any more performance out of my PC.

Specs of my current PC:

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo e4600 2.7 GHz
GPU: XFX Radeon HD 5450 1 GB
Motherboard: Dell Inc. 0DN075
Storage: 149 GB Samsung Hard Drive 7200 RPM

Apparently my PC is compatible.

Note: I was also told by Microsoft that my current operating system key (which isn't retail) MIGHT work on my new PC, but there are no promises.

Any help would be appreciated.

While every win 7 PC is offered a free upgrade, 9 to 10 year old PC's shouldn't be upgraded to win 10 as driver support is just not there. If it wasn't that age I would see no reason not to upgrade as your PC would have to have a new licence anyway so it wouldn't have made any difference.

My last PC was an Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, no way I would have upgraded it to win 10 even with an ssd
