Should I upgrade GPU or RAM for gaming?

Hello i need help deciding what to upgrade. I do 1080p gaming, video & photo editing and 3D & 2D modelling. I currently am experiencing lag when gaming and am thinking of upgrading either the gpu or ram and need some help deciding. thank!

Sorry I forgot to clarify that going any higher with gpu upgrades will not work for me because my current power supply can only support a 120W gpu. Also the gpu has to be a 6 pin connection. I also can't upgrade my psu bc I am on a tight budget and my pc is a mini tower/ small form factor...

CPU: I7-6700
GPU: evga GTX 1060 3GB
RAM: 8 GB DDR4 2133MHz
HDD 2TB

GPU: upgrade to evga GTX 1060 6GB
or
RAM: upgrade to kingston Hyper X 16GB 2133MHz

id upgrade your GPU if theres room in your budget id go for a 1070 has 8gb a vram instead of 3

Agreed go for the video card and go for the 1070 or above. While you will see some gains going to the 1060 6Gb you will get more bang for the buck by going to the 1070. If new prices are too high you can always go used that's how I got my 1080 for $440.

Sorry i forgot to mention that I can't upgrade my gpu over 120w bc of my psu so a gtx 1070 would not be possible, and I also believe that a gtx 1070 is a 8 pin pci connection...

Sounds like you should be upgrading your PSU.
