[SOLVED] Should I upgrade my 1060 6gb to a 1080?

I just found a huge price drop in amazon.es of the 1080 to 335€, being now cheaper than the 1070...

Would it be a good idea to upgrade my 1060 to a 1080 at this price? or should I wait for a 2070 price drop?

Depends on what games you play and how your rig holds up right now. If your computer can handle most games and you are mostly satisfied then I would say only go to the 1080. But if you feel that won't be sufficient then go to the 2070. So if you are okay with med-high graphics with no GPU heavy games (like tomb raider) then 1080 is safe. If you want high settings and GPU heavy games like tomb raider then go for the 2070. This is mostly user preference and what you will be using it for.

If you've got the money and upgrade is never a bad idea. The 1080 is a pretty nice jump up from the 1060.

going to a 2070 is no different than going to a 1080.
if going to go higher than a 1080, then you need 1080ti, or 2080.

One of the things I like about the GTX 1080 is it's efficiency and relatively low power usage given its level of power. I would definitely go for it, but it depends on the games you play and whether you're currently needing to cut back on graphics settings for good framerates.

Thank you all for your answers! To answer to everyone: my goal is to play at 120-144fps at 1080p in games like apex, btfV, etc... since I have a 144hz monitor. I have a i5-8400 and 16gb 3200mhz RAM.
And another question: why is the 1080 selling cheaper or at the same prize than the 1070? I'm scared of a maybe used 1080 scam :S

With your system specs and the resolution and refresh rates you aim to achieve I'd say go for the 1080. You'll definitely feel the change coming from a 1060.

No comments on the price being too good to be true for a new card though.
