Hello guys,
I am currently running a Ryzen 2700X in my pc. PBO is enabled, so it runs at about 4.15 Ghz in cpu heavy games and around 4,25 GHz in less cpu heavy games. I recently upgraded my gpu to a 2080 Ti to play 1440p at 165 Hz. In some games, I see that my gpu is under utilized. For example, in Fortnite, the gpu is sitting around 50-60%, whilst having anything between 100-170 fps. I would like to get maximum usage out of my gpu and the highest fps as possible. As I am running a X370 motherboard (Asus Crosshair Hero VI), the Ryzen 3000 series is the highest I can go for. Investing in a new motherboard and cpu is too expensive for me. Would getting a 3800XT be good to eliminate the bottleneck for my gpu?
