My desktop has 2 internal sata hdd (1tb+2tb), 2 2gb ram, 1 sata dvd player, 1 1tb external hdd, intel 3rd gen dual core processor, 2 cabinet fans (12 volt each) and 450 watt smps. since few days my pc is not turning on properly, so i unplugged 2tb internal hdd, 1tb external hdd, dvd player, 2 fans, only internal 1tb is connected and now my pc working fine. should i upgrade my smps to 600 watt from 450 watt?

Solution
Have you tried plugging the unplugged devices back in until the PC stops working again, as there is no reason that a 450W PSU is unable to power your system, as it would be drawing about 150-160W at the most, suggesting that it is something that you unplugged from your computer that is the problem.

Also, can you list the make and model of your PSU
