So recently, my machine's been pretty mediocre since the next generations of consoles have been released, and I plan on upgrading my rig. However, I only have so much money, so I have to choose what to upgrage. What do you guys think?
My specs:
Core i3 3225
Radeon HD 7750 1GB Ghz edition
8 Gigs of 1866 ram
2 1 TB hard drives
500 watt power supply

You would benefit out of a new CPU and GPU, but yet your GPU is a true bottleneck. For gaming especially, upgrading your GPU would be your best benefit and improvement. Next you could upgrade to an I5, but of course this may require a new motherboard making it even more expensive.

As mentioned by digitaldoc, go buy first a GPU that fits within your budget. Test it and if the performance is still not acceptable, getting a new CPU then would be your next move. Get a quad-core CPU should you need it and have the funds for it.
