My pc is outdated, Nvidia Gt 710 card, and a fx-6300 cpu, if i was going towards fps, should i upgrade my cpu? which will give a better advantage.

Solution
i was thinking about a 1650 super with a Ryzen 5 3600, my psu is a 360w

Ryzen 3600 is a great choice for today's gaming, mainly because of its price to performance which makes it really budget friendly in most mid tier builds.

Replace your psu, regardless of your wattage rating. The last thing that you want is your old psu causing issues for you because of its age / wear. As well as looking that it was running fx6100+gt710 doesn't give big hope.

The gpu choice is rather weak. This is will average out medium graphics "today" depending on the game. If possible, aim for a 1660Super to have a gpu that can pull high graphic settings and will last you longer than that 1650.

Gpu. The 710 is weaker than onboard video cards. The fx 6300 isn't a good gaming cpu, but it's much better than the 710.

I'd look at your psu before upgrading your gpu. The 710 barely even pulls electricity. Real gaming cards will put a much larger load on your psu.

What is your budget?
where do you live?
Which games specifically do you play?

If you're tight, you could go the ryzen 3200g way and use the APU, this will at least yield a system that will be able to play Games on reduced graphic settings and then down the road you can drop in an independent gpu.

Here is just an example of what could be an option. Could even make it slightly cheaper.

I Put a B550 motherboard, but there are many B450 boards that are just as good which are slightly cheaper. Everything can be chosen slightly cheaper, but since you didn’t state a $ amount here’s a suggestion

After all of this being said, there is a new line of both ryzen cpu and nvidia GPUs coming out in the next couple of months. If you want to wait, you may have different/better/more options, may be worth the wait since it’s just around the corner. That can also give you a chance to save up a little more to get something good overall.
