[SOLVED] Should I upgrade my FX8320 with a whole new platform or upgrade my GTX 960?

Looking to upgrade my PC as it has been awhile.
Current specs:
AMD FX8320 w/ Hyper 212 Evo Cooler
EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4gb
G.Skill 8gb (2x 4gb) DDR3 1866
Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P
EVGA 600W PSU

Kinda on a budget. Mainly used for gaming.
Was looking at a new platform for a Ryzen 5 2600X, 16gb DDR4 3000, and a B450 mobo. Doing that means I would be keeping my GTX 960. Will my GTX 960 still run me through for another year? Or is the FX8320 gonna be okay and I should upgrade to 16gb RAM up from 8gb RAM and maybe throw in a RX 580 8gb GPU?
Been playing a lot of Kingdon Come recently and I'm surprisingly getting a solid average of 50fps on Med-High settings.
All thoughts and opinions are welcome! I'd love to ride the Intel train, but it's just too expensive of a switch and I'm rather familiar with AMD CPUs.

-----EDIT-------
Budget is about $500 and I also plan on replacing my HDD with an SSD, preferable a 1TB, but will probably settle for 500gb SSD because of budget.
All components are roughly 3-4 years old.
One more thing, OverClocking is not a necessity for me.

Solution
I am suggesting a new PSU, because the one you have is not a very good quality unit. M.2 can be SATA or Nvme (PCI-E) spec. The MX500 is a SATA specced drive, so no performance difference than a regular 2.5" SATA. Just cleaner look, and better airflow, since less cables are needed.
If you can afford it, get the new system.
All depends on your budget but the FX is pretty much at its max right now, so changing the GPU won't make it really any faster.

If you let someone know your budget then they maybe able to help you. Any Ryzen is better than the FX chip so you could save some money buying a slower Ryzen and maybe put that towards a new GPU?
Also don't forget if you buy a complete new system, you can sell the old one for a few dollars and get a new GPU from that as well.

Definitely time for a new platform, and definitely a better quality power supply. I would get an AM4 bracket, from cooler master, and reuse that 212 evo, while you are at it.

Are you suggesting a new PSU due to age or the wattage?
The Newegg PSU calc recommends something like 560w for the new platform and a GTX 960 4gb. So my 600W PSU should still be fine, right?
