Hello

I just ordered a new monitor (asus strix xg279q) and I am wondering if I must upgrade my old gtx 970 or wait for the new nvidia 30** series (or however they are going to call them).

My pc specs are the following:
Intel Core i5-6600K
HyperX Savage 16GB DDR4-2400MHz (HX424C12SBK2/16)
Asus Z170 Pro Gaming
Corsair RMx Series RM750x
Gigabyte GeForce GTX970 4GB Xtreme Gaming (GV-N970XTREME-4GD)

The games I curently play are:
league of legends
overwatch
cs:go
valorant
I also play some gta 5 and rocket league.

Will my current card be able to handle it (1440p 144hz) on low settings until the release of the new series graphics cards ?
If not witch card should i buy rtx 2070 super, rtx 2080 super
or something else ?

Thanks.

Solution
well, a 970... it will probably get 1440p 60 fps on medium-high or so.
but since you mostly play easy to run games, itll probably be higher.

i would wait for the 30 series since its rumoured to be amazing and for now your pc will scrape by.
its also rumoured to be released in semptember.
