Hi everyone!
I have a Asus Strix 970 as my GPU and an i7 3770k 3.5GHz base, 4.2 GHz turbo (bad chip, can't overclock high /: )

Anyways, I play on a 1080p 144Hz monitor. I mostly play league of legends, and I used to get very high frames when I first got my GPU which was about 2 years ago now. But now I tend to average 108-125 fps. Never stable. I'd like my frames to remain at a stable 120 at all times. I'm not sure which component to upgrade tho, my GPU or my CPU? Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I second a GPU upgrade for you as well. Your CPU is still fine, considering more games are utilizing hyperthreading in the i7s. Even in reviews, older i7s get better FPS than even Skylake and Kaby Lake i5 7600k in some games, which I just installed in my HTPC.
I'm no expert in upgrading but I'd suggest you upgrade your GPU first. Upgrading the CPU would mean upgrading the ram motherboard and CPU itself which would cost more. League of Legends isn't that CPU Intensive so you could probably get away with a GPU upgrade without a hitch and reach stable 120 fps.
