Should I upgrade my graphics card?

Hello every one.

I currently own a GTX 690. And I feel it's time for an upgrade.

I have plans on upgrading my monitor to the Rog SWIFT monitor too. So the lack of V-ram in the GTX 690 will probably not be enough to play Battlefield 4 on ultra quality.

I have my eyes on a GTX 980 Strix.
Maybe the 980 would be a good choice and then perhaps later upgrade to SLI?

It's a 100% worthy upgrade and a much better card than the ASUS one.

Also, I've heard rumors of a GTX 980 Ti Being about 50% faster than a GTX 980.
Should I wait for that card or will GTX 980/sli be enough for the upcoming 2-3 years?

Since I want to utilize the 144Hz on the monitor, I would like as high FPS as possible.

I would skip the 980 and just run 970's in sli.

Yeah, but I am THAT kind of guy who wants the very best. Even if it costs $200 more.

970 in SLI will out perform 980 anyday.

I know 970 SLI is better than a single 980.
That's why I aiming on getting 2x 980's.
