Should I upgrade my i7 4770k? and What is a bset GPU for a my cpu ?

Hi Guys,

Would like to ask the community their opinion on upgrading my i7 4770k processor. Had this process for 2 years now, and it's been fantastic, but I now have the question, is it still good enough for modern games 2017-2018??? or should I wait some more years, and whats the best GPU my i7-4770K can handle?

Your CPU is more than enough, for any gpu available on the consumer's market. Heck, if your budget allows it, you could even get a gtx 1080. You need not to worry about bottleneck for another 2 or 3 years except if a hugely cpu intensive game shows up in the future.

yeah , the i7 should hold up fine , i'd wait some more time , I have a 4th gen i5 still , getting good gaming performance still.

As others have said, any GPU will work. However, some GPUs are overkill for certain resolutions / refresh rates. I would not, for instance, recommend a GTX 1080 Ti for 1080P 60hz gaming, because you can just as easily max out any game with a GTX 1070 for half the price, and for many games, even with a GTX 1060. For 4K or 144hz gaming, a more expensive card can make sense.
