I’m kinda new to computers and right now I have 32 gd of ddr4 @2666hertz and I was thinking about upgrading to 64gb @3200hertz or something like tHat (faster and more ram) for Christmas, I currently have two 16 gb sticks of ram and I have 4 slots, so could I’m assuming I could just buy 64 gn if new ram and install it, also I’m thinking of installing other upgrades in the future and want to know what I should do with old parts, Ex. I want to upgrade my 2070 to something more and it would be easier to afford if I could sell my 2070
Other specs: i9-9900k
32GB DDR4 at 2666MHz Dual Channel
850 liquid cooled psu
Rtx 2070

First, do you actually need more than 32GB of ram? Most games don't even use more 8GB at the top end of usage. Second, filling four slots can sometimes force you to slower ram speeds for stability, but it's less of an issue with Intel than with current AMD platforms. Having all slots filled with 16GB 3200Mhz modules should work, but I would not guarantee that it will. If you upgrade the graphics card, sell the old one and put the money toward the RTX 3000 series coming possibly next year. The RTX 3080 could possibly be a 65-75% or higher upgrade over your 2070.

Thanks for your reply, do you have any recommendations on where I could sell my graphics card?
