Should I upgrade my motherboard?

Hi all, I have an AM3+ board with a quad-core chip and and 8gigs o' ram, problem is, it only has 2 ram slots and that quad core chip, so here's my question, should I wait till ddr4 boards roll out and a new line up of 8-core AMD's, cuz it seems like it's been a while and they still haven't made a new line up unlike how Intel has their 5000 chips, seems to me any day now AMD will announce a new socket, although I don't know if the new Intel chips is running off the lga 1150 socket still, seems like it would be worth it to wait for both ddr4 (though it might not be a big boost I hear) and the new cpus... I think that's everything ~thanks in advance

Not expecting anything new from AMD in the near future as far as CPUs
