Should I upgrade my Motherboard?

I recently upgraded my PC by installing the NVIDIA GTX 960 4GB SSC. It is a great graphics card but it did not add as much performance as I thought in some games. I think it has to do with my CPU because it is a lower end CPU compared to my graphics card. I think there is some bottlenecking going on and I was wondering if it is worth upgrading motherboards so I can buy a better cpu. I was thinking about buying the AMD FX 8350 or another CPU in the FX series which will give me a massive performance boost. I wanted to get other peoples opinions and get info on how hard it is to replace a motherboard.

Processor: AMD Athlon x4 860k Quad Core 3.7GHz (I run it at 3.9)
Graphics Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB SSC
8GB DDR3 Mem
1TB SATA III 7200 RPM 3.5" Hardrive
(Motherboard) MSI A88XI AC V2 FM2+ Socket
Power Supply: ENERMAX REVOLUTION87+ 550W 80 Gold Power Supply

if you want a massive performance boost from a CPU, go intel. AMD is just not competitve compared to what intel has to offer for gamers.

The FM series CPU's use the AM3+ socket and will not even fit in your motherbd.

Do you have any good Intel motherboard recomendations because if I get a Intel cpu Id get like an i5 most likely

"Should" implies you have the option. With the FX processor you want its more that 'You Have To'

So your looking at new motherbd, cooler, cpu, and maybe ram.
