Question Should I upgrade my pc for gaming?

Hello was just wondering should I upgrade my pc as I have a i5 7500 and gtx 1060. Cheers

Depends what you want. There is a huge difference between playing casual games at 1080p 60Hz or playing the latest AAA games at 1440p 144Hz or 4K. Also a lot comes down to what satisfies you as sufficient fps and game quality.

Are either the GPU or CPU limiting the games you play?

Generally though the 7500 is showing limitations in the latest CPU heavy games.

If you have to ask yourself this question, then the answer is most likely "no". Trust me, you will know when it is time to upgrade.
