I currently have a pc that is great for general use, very fast and at a glance seems like an excellent computer. Unfortunately when it comes to gaming, it really starts to turn into a pile of crap. I can barely run games at LOWEST settings while running a mere 720p or below. I do not want to break the bank by spending over $1000 on a whole new tower but I am willing to spend a couple hundred dollars upgrading my own pc. So finally here are my main important specs:

Graphics: AMD Radeon 7570
CPU: AMD a10-5800k
RAM: 16gb
HARD DRIVE: 1TB
OS: Windows 8 🙁

So would it be beneficial to invest a bit of money into a new graphics card and if necessary a new processor? Please let me know :)

Your PSU should have a label on the side of it, giving its ratings. It should also have an 80+ logo on it if it is certified. Does it have a little voltage switch to set the input voltage?
The GTX750Ti uses very little power, and does not even need a PCIe power cable. You'd only need to buy a new PSU to go with it if the one you have is very low quality.
A R9 270 is a stronger card, but almost certainly would need a new PSU, and the two would probably cost you closer to $250. You said "a couple hundred" which I took to mean an absolute maximum.

Okay, how can I check to see what PSU I have so I know if my PC can even handle these GPU's?
