Should I upgrade my PC?

Hi guys! I'm thinking about upgrading my PC. But I'm not sure if it will be worth it or not.

My current rig is..

Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M LX PLUS
Processor: AMD FX(tm)-4170 Quad Core
PCU Cooler: Arctic Freezer 13
Graphics Card: GTX 680
RAM: G.Skill Value DDR3 8GB(1) and 4GB(1)
Soundcard: Xonar Essence STX
PSU: Rosewill 630-Watt Green Series 80 PLUSS
Monitor: Asus VG248QE
Windows 7 Ultimate

And I'm thinking of upgrading to..

Casing: NZXT Phantom 820
Motherboard: ASUS MAXIMUS VII HERO
Processor: Intel I7 4790K
Cooler: Noctua NH-D15
Graphics Card: Asus GTX 980 Matrix
Soundcard: Xonar Essence STX(From my current rig)
RAM: Will use my current one
PSU: Corsair AX860i 860W
SSD and HDD: Will use my current one.
Windows 8.1 Pro

What do you guys think? Will you do the upgrade if you're in my position?

Wait just a bit longer. Skylake is coming out soon, and you'll have many more options when that comes out. Most of your setup is good, besides the processor. In fact, I'd throw in a 6300 to hold you over.

Just curious, what kind of frame rates do you get with a 4170/680 combo?
