Question Should I upgrade my PC?

I've started having low perfomance on some of the games I play, for example, im getting 55fps max on Rust and it even drops to 25-30fps (lowest settings) which I think is the most demanding game I play. Other games like CS2 can reach 144fps on low but also drops to around 70fps depending on the map. The problem is i like playing games fluently, since i use 144hz monitor.
So i was wondering if should start thinking on upgrading some parts of my pc or first try updating BIOS and drivers and see if that helps a little. I must say that i've bought this PC like 6-7 years ago (some of the parts are way newer tho) so I suppose going for an upgrade is reasonable.

Specs (the ones in bold are the newest ones):
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B450-PLUS II. Bios version 3802
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600
CPU cooler: Stock cooler
GPU: Radeon RX 6650XT 8gb
Ram: 16gb(2x8) DDR4 2666mhz TeamGroup
SSD/HDD: Kingston A400 240gb (SSD), Seagate barracuda 1TB (HDD), Crucial P3 1TB (M.2)
PSU: Corsair CX550M almost 7 years old
Chassis: ATX Sentey Z20
OS: Windows 11 home
Monitor: MSI 1080p 24" 144hz

i had to modify my original cpu cooler choice ,
because your case only supports cpu coolers up to 150mm of height (which is very low) ,
the top psu mount is also not good .
maybe you should think about replacing the case and the power supply as well
if you are going to upgrade your graphics card in the future .

this psu , case and cpu cooler will easily stay with you for the next build as well
so it´s worth the money in my opinion

I would also recommend a case that can actually breathe. I wouldn't be surprised if you are thermal throttling now, with that case and using that stock cooler. PSU is also not a quality unit, and past its warranty.

Thanks for the recommendations, I'll try to get the ones I can (I have to check if they actually ship them to my country). Also I know my case is kinda slim, but i cant see any thermal throttling, at least when gaming. Sometimes I do some stress tests and my CPU gets around 77°C and my GPU even lower, but I dont really know if they are high temps since they are at 100%
