should i upgrade my pentium g3258 to an i5-4690k?

so, i am currently running a pentium g3258 overclocked at 4.5ghz and a GTX 750ti FTW edition. i play csgo at around 120 fps currently. i want to buy a 144hz monitor for a better gaming experience. how much fps would i gain from an upgrade from the pentium to an i5-4690K? is it worth the buy? should i overclock the i5?

I think your FPS is limited by the GPU. Do any CPU cores ever reach 100%? Is the GPU running at 100%?

Csgo I think is single core? Not sure if it would help any, check to see ifncpu or gpu usage is hitting 100% upgrade whichever is

The cpu will usually use 100% but not sure about the GPU

I feel like it shouldn't You must have other software hogging up the CPU.
