I'm currently running:

Phenom II X3 720 BE @ 3.1
Gigabyte GA-MA790XT-UD4P (Which is compatible with ALL X4s and X6s)
4 GB GSkill 1333 DDR3
ATI 5870
GeForce GTX 260 Core 216 (For PhysX)

I've just been wondering if upgrading to the Phenom II X4 965 BE or higher would allow me to see a difference in my gaming, or if I should just stick with what I have for now and wait for future releases. Gaming is ALL I use my PC for. I play First-Person Shooters (Battlefield Bad Company II, Call of Dutys, etc.), Third-Person Shooters (Batman: AA, Mafia II, etc.), and Sports games.

Thanks

Tried unlocking the fourth core when I got it last year, no luck. I have it overclocked to 3.1 on stock voltage with stock heatsink. That's the best I could do. I could get it to 3.2 but the voltage increase and heat output was too significant for my taste. I may consider a better heatsink/cooling solution down the road for a higher overclock. I'm just going to wait until I notice a bottleneck in my games.

Thanks for all of the advice!
