Hi all, calling for advice from India

I have following configuration

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 3rd Gen Desktop Processor
32 GB RAM - CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (16GBx2) DDR4 3000MHz RAM
Corsair CP-9020098-UK VS Series VS650 650-Watt Power Supply Unit
Gigabyte Geforce GT 710 2GB DDR3 Graphic Card
COOLER MASTER MASTERBOX MB511 RGB (ATX) Mid Tower Cabinet
ASUS ROG STRIX B450-E GAMING Motherboard
Seagate BarraCuda 1TB HDD
Samsung 27-inch Full HD Curved Gaming Monitor with 2 HDMI and 1 Display Port - LC27FG73FQWXXL

I am not happy with my graphics card performance and need to add one more monitor.

For that I am planning to upgrade graphics card to 2060 super or 2070super so that I can support Machine Learning load also.

I want to know if I should upgrade my power supply unit or not. Will my power supply support this configuration as I am adding more powerful GPU?

Lest, will it be ok to run two monitors with existing Graphic Card – i.e. Gigabyte Geforce GT 710 2GB DDR3? I may need a cheap HDMI splitter for one input, two output.

Solution
For a system with RTX 2060/2070 or so you don't want te use a group regulated unit like the Corsair VS. Get a decent psu with LLC and DC-DC like Corsair RMx, be quiet Straight Power 11, Enermax Revolution D.F. or MSI MPG.

With a HDMI splitter you duplicate the screen, not extend. You need both monitors to plug in the graphics card.

Well the Monitors run off their own power so it wont matter about that. Furthermore is your CPU overclocked at all? do you plan on over clocking? looks like maybe at most youre going to run 300-400W so you should be fine with what you have.

Hi,
thanks for the response. As of now, now plans to run overclocking for cpu or gpu.

what you think of existing graphics card. will it be ok to run two monitors using hdmi splitter?

I have RTX 2080 Super with RM 750x and it is working perfectly. I got it for Rs.12000 but you can go for antec or cooler master if you want something cheaper. A 650w psu should not create problem but if you want to be on safe side go for something 750w.

Thanks SID,

I have one VGA and one HDMI port. Can I connect one monitor with vga and one monitor with HDMI and extend the display?

Like the others my concern is the quality of the psu and not the wattage. The 2070S is <250w, the cpu even with PBO is <120w and the rest of the system 50w. Add a good >20% headroom and a high quality 550w would be plenty.
Exactly my thought too. My PSU is not gold certified and with so much costly hw, should I go for gold?
