Hi,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me decide whether I should upgrade from an AMD Phenom™ II X6 1090T to an AMD FX-4300. I need help on figuring out which one is better for me to use and if its worth buying a new one.

(I don't know what specific information I should put but I've just put what I think is needed)
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit
Motherboard: Asus M5A78L-M/USB3
Graphics card: AMD Radeon HD 7700 Series

I don't know what else I should put, but if anyone could help it would be much appreciated. I'm new to asking on forums.

Solution
Overall, it would actually be a bit of a downgrade.

The Phenom II X6 1090T has six cores, running between 3.2-3.6ghz. The FX-4300 has four cores with shared resources running at 3.8-4.0. Single-threaded performance is roughly equal, and multi-threaded performance goes towards the Phenom II.

The newer FX part may have some advantages with newer instructions sets, and better memory support - but you're probably not going to bump into any of those as a limiting factor.

Okay thanks I didn't know its a downgrade as I'm fairly new to things like this, I'll stick to what I've got for now.
