Question should i upgrade my ram?

my specs:
gtx 1060 6gb
i5-3450
8gb ddr3 ram

I was wondering if I should upgrade my ram and if so to how many the ram I have now is pretty bad since a friend of mine got it from college for me and ive been getting low frame rates on some games where I know I should be getting a higher frame rate for most games im fine but for other games like watch dogs 2 and wildlands i am getting low frames where I should be getting way higher frames for my system

I would save for a new platform. 1155 is STARTING TO SHOW IT'S AGE.

Only upgrade the RAM if you have 1 stick and not 2, otherwise wouldn't really bother
