Top of morning peeps plz answer some of my questions....

1) Upgrade from 8 to 16 ddr4 ram rn or wait for ddr5? (ik i need to upgrade mobo)

2) What cpu can play latest games (med/high) and pairable with gtx1070 and UNDER 200$

3) more ram or higher clock speed?

p/s. I'm still studying and will end it in 2020/early 2021. so the upgrade isn't in rush. Thanks in advance

Solution
Most 100-series Intel boards can support up to the i7-7700(k), though you may have trouble finding one at a decent price. For DDR5, that is unlikely to reach the mainstream until Ryzen 5k launches on AM5 in mid to late 2021. Early next-gen RAM tends to be worse than cheaper mature RAM due to much worse initial timings and immature memory controllers, so it'll probably be 2022-2023 before DDR5 shows a clear performance per dollar advantage over DDR4.

For DDR5 you'll probably have to wait several years. Upgrade now.
2) What cpu can play latest games (med/high) and pairable with gtx1070 and UNDER 200$
What is your current CPU?
3) more ram or higher clock speed?
Depends on usage. For gaming 16GB ram is plenty.
Ram clock speed is important for Ryzen cpus. With Intel cpus ram speed is less significant.
What is your current ram speed?

sorry for not stating it out

current specs:
8gb ddr4 2400mhz
gtx 1070 8gb
i3-6100 3.7ghz
Motherboard idk but can be upgrade.. what i know is it only support 2ram slot and max 2400mhz ddr4
PSU idk too but copper/silver 550W

From that system, all I would really do is get a faster i5 or i7 CPU, the rest is fine for a few years easily as long as you are not trying to run at max settings at 1440 resolution. Check your motherboard supported CPUs since you did not list the modle of that. Really not worth spending much money on upgrading a system that is pretty current and can run new games without issues, outside of maybe possibly the CPU.

if you don't have a solid state drive get one of those.
