Hello,

I am currently running an HP 2335 LCD @ 1920 x 1200 via VGA from my Gigabyte GTS 450 OC.
The monitor still works fine but is fairly bulky, the specs seem to be less than ideal by today's standards (16ms response, 500:1 contrast ratio).

Uses: WoW, Typical browsing, Occasional Video Viewing.

I am considering upgrading to a decent basic 23" or 24" LED backlit monitor (ie. ASUS VH or VS Series).

Is this a worthwhile upgrade? Am I going to see a significant difference in picture quality or should I stick with the old beast?

Any input or advice is greatly appreciated.

If you want to see an increase in quality, get an ISP monitor, Dell Ultrasharps are good and often go on sale when they change models. Your monitor is older though, which probably means it's backlight is fading and also probably does not put out the whole color range as well as when new. You will see a better image with a new monitor, but going to a higher quality screen from the regular TN ones will give you even more of an improvement. Like going from a Camry to a Corvette as opposed to from a 4 to a 6 cylinder Carmy which is what your plan is now.
